This place is awesome. Love there food. Our new go to place.
Awesome little homestyle Italian experience! You can see the kitchen and smell all the amazing food coming out of it. The menu is a little small but that’s how you know everything they put out is going to be amazing. They also have other specials not on the menu - my fiancé got a giant bowl seafood pasta with white clam sauce and ate the entire thing. Even after a giant bowl of the beans and greens (which we also ate all of). Serafino’s has the best of everything - great food, big portions, reasonably priced and BYOB. Definitely a local staple for a quality down home Italian meal
So delicious!!! Highly recommend this authentic Italian Restaurant! 🍝
Came here for friendmas and it was a great choice. Food was fantastic and tasted like my grandma made it. It's a little crowded so if you have a large group, might want to call ahead even though they dont take reservations. The staff was very friendly and helpful with choices. Would come back again.
A true Pittsburgh hidden gem, authentic Italian food with an authentic Italian vibe!
As a native Clevelander, being forced to visit Pittsburgh was awful. However, this restaurant made the visit worthwhile. The veal special was delicious. Crispy outside and perfectly tender in the center. If I had it to do over again, I would have done the meatball sandwich. Another guy in our group did that, it looked amazing. Definitely a "must stop" if you are looking for food in this area. Parking may be a slight issue.
Delicious! We've been here twice to eat and once for takeout. The greens and beans are truly fantastic. Make sure you ask for the specials if they don't offer them because that's where we have found the best meals. Tonight I had a Chilean sea bass piccata with Angel hair and my husband had crab cakes, both were great with very large portions.
THE BOMB. Fantastic food! Great service! Wonderful staff. Warm atmosphere. And did I mention Fantastic food!
The food is good but people that work there are the worst.. Plus no one ever answers phone.. So unless you go there you will never get food.. I called 3 times and the last time it rang for 20 min and no answer for 15 min... Worst service ever...
Major disappointment best thing about it Circle Inn next door. Long wait to be seated pasted over us. Then waiting for food at table after watching everyone around us get there food asked waitress how long she never put are order in. After being screwed twice you think for good PR would comp something no nothing. Food was not good enough for the aggravation no return here.
Good food, great prices, friendly staff; very cozy and authentic
I really liked the bruschetta it was toasted perfectly and had a really flavorful topping. My friend and I both got the veal parmesan special and the sauce was either over reduced or just way too acidic. The veal itself was fine. I tend to judge an Italian place on sauce more than anything and I didn't care for it.
Excellent Italian food! Definitely going back.
Absolutely spectacular. A little small inside, but it is what it is. The food is absolutely outstanding. Bursting with flavor and leaves you wanting more (if your stomach can handle it.) I will most certainly be back soon.
Absolutely delicious. Very intimate and homey. I feel very welcome when I went there. Had the pasta Specialty Sarafinos. Looked great, tasted just as I expected. Delicious. The bread is divine. Will be going again. Perfect place for a date or for a cozy dinner.
This place is a hidden GEM best Italian food in the Burgh. I love this place. I have never gotten a bad meal here ever.
Exceptional food Service hospitality amazing for the price unbelievable
This was by far, the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to. It's a small place, and you feel like you're a guest to the home of an Italian chef. Staff are friendly and nice. Service was good. But the best part is the food, as it should be! Sarafino's pasta was super delicious, tasted perfect 😋 I enjoyed every bit of taste in my food, from pasta to the sauce and mushroom and the chicken. They have a new loyal customer!
Super legit Italian food. I've had 3-4 of their pasta dishes over the last 3 months and each one was absolutely delicious. This is the Pasquale's pasta that has feta, sun dried tomatoes, garlic, spinach, and mushrooms over penne. Very nice atmosphere as well!
Absolutely rude service. They had us go outside in the cold, and said they'd call in 45 minutes and let us know the situation, but didn't call until an hour and a half later, right when they were about to close.
Great food as always. Beans and greens are always a favorite. Seating outside and proper Covid precautions.
Such an amazing place to go and have a nice dinner. Most people would say paying $15 for a pasta is too much. But when you see and get a taste of Sarafino's pasta. You'll know, its well worth the money. Portions are excellent. Service is amazing. Daisey is an AMAZING waitress. Highly recommend everyone to go here at least once. Love it.
Always great food, staff treats us like family every time we visit. Some of the best Italian food in town at an even better price
Always exceptional food and service. BYOB is a bonus. The crab cake salad is the best I've ever had.
Surprisingly Great food. Tremendous service considering tight and short seating. Always busy. A Must visit!
One of the best Italian restaurants. the service is excellent The food is amazing from salads to crab cakes oh and the pasta I have been eating here for years love it
A scrumptious arugula, prosciutto, asiago appetizer pizza. And the mussels marinara were huge and fabulous! Another great dinner.
For a party of 5, we waited over an hour and a half for a table, however, the food was ABSOLUTELY worth the wait. The pasta was so fresh and tasted homemade, the beans and greens appetizer was fantastic and so was this appetizer pizza. The interior of the restaurant is cramped but it adds to the homey atmosphere of the place. Sarafinos is a hidden gem, I just wish it was slightly bigger and more accommodating to larger groups of people.
Delicious food. Worth the wait. The crab cakes are always amazing, but I tried the sea bass last night and it knocked my socks off! Great little local gem.
The food is very high quality and everything we tried was excellent. The service was a little slow, but it made for a nice, leisurely paced meal. Don't skip dessert, they are all excellent!
Worth the drive from Butler, an hour away. The food was good and being a small little place, well worth any wait. Sauces were well done, pasta was tender and the meatballs were on point. The wait staff was courteous and handles the crowds with ease. It's a tight space but nothing wasted. If your in Crafton, go here, you won't be disappointed.
Awesome italian spot. The greens and beans were fantastic as well as the lump crabmeat appetizer. The ricotta gnocchi with bolognese sausage sauce was awesome. Service was great. Will definitely be back!
From out of town. Saw the reviews so we figured we would try it. Amazing food. Meatballs, gnocci and antipasto are delicious. Best alfredo sauce I've ever had! Must get the alfredo!!
Sarafino's is located close to our hotel so we decided to give it a shot and it didn't disappoint. I would call it a hidden gem, with delicious fresh, handmade Italian meals and generous portions at a very reasonable price. Well worth a visit.
Really cool little Italian restaurant. Maybe only 6 or 7 tables. Authentic food, affordable prices. Bottle of reds. Bottle of whites...
A BYOB Italian restaurant. The food here is amazing. I got the seafood and pasta and my clams, scallops, and shrimp were cooked perfectly. I would recommend coming before 5. It gets really crowded after that. It's street parking too. Giving four stars because we were rushed out by the wait staff. They wanted our table so they demanded we finish up. That wasn't very polite as we are paying customers. We had a table of seven but we had called ahead and they had our table ready upon arrival. That said, in the future I would order takeout, because the food is worth it, so I can enjoy the food without being rushed out.
The most amazing pizza on pittsburgh
Wow food is so good and it's a BYOB can't beat that
What a wonderful eclectic experience. Great staff, almost like your sitting at the door to grandma's kitchen. The food is authentic italian down to the white or red base sauces. BYOB is nice especially as a group for wine tastings, only $5 cork fee. Parking is easy.
I tried three different pastas and they were all phenomenal. You literally can't go wrong if you're looking for a flavorful Italian spot. If you decide to go during dinner time just make sure you get there early to reserve seats as the seating is very limited.
Good food. Little neighborhood place, kinda cramped interior, but nicely done homey atmosphere. Full house, so high noise level. Red-sauce Italian with some interesting variations. Besides the menu there were several daily specials. I see many more visits here in our future. Note that it's strictly BYOB with a modest "corkage" fee per table.
Get the Greens and Beans appetizer to share. Wholesome and delicious food. Very generous servings!
This is the closest I've ever been to giving a 5-Star review. So good. Nice small little find in Crafton. The food is so good and the staff is friendly. Went on a Saturday night and the wait wasn't too bad. We got a little lucky with our timing, but deff worth the wait nonetheless. Highly recommend.
Loves the ambiance! I had the Sarafinos pasta which was a red pepper sauce has red pepper in it as well. It was very flavorful and creamy texture. You can also pick from specials of the day and its BYOB!
I always heard about Serafino’s. I finally went out for dinner a few weeks ago. Definitely one of my go to places for Italian food. The bread was incredible, and I wish I could eat the vodka penne with sausage everyday. Recently tried for lunch as well, very impressed. 10/10, will be back soon.
